The setting of the novel is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury took place in 2053 possible in Los Angeles. This story is about society vs the government because people don’t believe in books. These firefighters that burns books and one that doesn’t burn books and he gets in trouble. The main characters in this book are Montag, Faber, and Clarisse. Montag is a 30 year old firefighter that is married. Montag is usually sad and curious. He is the firefighter who goes against the government over books. Montag quote is “kerosene is nothing but perfume to me.” Clarisse is a 17 year old really nice and a blonde. Most of the time she is happy. She is a very serious person. Clarisse quote to Montag “do you ever read only of the books you burn.” The last character is Faber. Faber is a cowardly person that wants to change. He is a former english professor. Then she makes Montag think. Montag starts reading. First he starts to read to the three women. Then he burns the the books he read. The third plot in this story is when Montag kills beatty and then run away. He kills beatty with a fire catcher. Then Montag runs to the river to get away from the firefighters before they got to him. The conflict of this book is when everything is just normal Montag meets Clarisse and she makes him happy and think. Montag hides the books in another home so he couldn’t get caught. But his boss know he was reading books. So Montag killed Captain Beatty. And then after he did that he had to run away. Everyone in the city was looking for Montag like the hounds, firefighters, helicopters, and the police. But Montag has Faber to help him along the way.
