Places Having no education is something to be worried about. It’s hard going to school but anyone can make it somewhere if you have a good education. In Fahrenheit 451, burning books didn’t help them achieve a goal, it just made them unaware of how into technology they were. It made people hate books instead of realizing that reading books help you have more knowledge in life. Unlike in The Book of Eli where they appreciated books more because there wasn’t as many around. This made them more appreciative of the ones that they had. Although they appreciated the books they had, they still wanted a Bible more than anything. Even the people that didn’t have the books didn’t know how to read, or didn’t know anything about the past as in the television. The burning of books and having no books left were caused by the government having too much control over the people. The book had so much high tech technology: the doors opening with the touch of your hand and recognizing you to enter your house. Eli having his iPod only and charging it with the sun. The difference between the two is that Montag had everything and Eli barely had any water to drink. Carnegie had people trying to find the Bible and Montag had the Bible but he didn’t know the worth of the book. Now people don’t see the worth of books and the Bible because it hasn’t been taken away from us or burned. The technology made Mildred so addicted she couldn’t pay attention to Montag. The technology was hurting them so much they didn’t notice what they needed in life (Fahrenheit 451). Solara and other younger children of her generation couldn’t even read because Carnegie was holding them back. Mildred and Solara are the total opposite: one being more caring and strong and the other being weak and
