I think Bradbury is trying to tell the reader to have patience and not be too aggressive in making changes in life. Yes, in Fahrenheit 451 the changes needed to be made for people to start feeling and waking up, but we still have to think about the other people who are asleep and can’t see what we see. They are trying to protect themselves emotionally from what they are feeling. They grew up not thinking and not being emotional. They could not handle it and when they did have a moment of realization they could not handle it, some even committed suicide.
There is a verse in the in the book Ecclesiastes 1 verse 11 it says “There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.” I think this is one verse that matches the book Fahrenheit 451 because of the way they destroy all the books that were written in the past. How will they ever know when they should not repeat a huge mistake that was done in the past? I think when we read books we can also take away life lessons from people who have made mistakes and

Reminds me a lot of Montag, the way he used to live and it did not appeal to him anymore.
