The books that we have read the semester have been very good choices to create question in mind and others in the classes lives. There are many things brought up and many events brought up in each book that created comfortableness to me and others that I had talk to. My two most changing books were Fahrenheit 451 and 19 84. Fahrenheit 451 brought up the idea that people get comfortable when they read about things that don't necessarily go along with what they believe. Many of the characters in the book who read books were able to go outside their comfort zones especially based upon the fact that they were doing something illegal in that Society. In the book the flat screen TVs with the families on it are a big part of people's lives. When you think about it sounds very for familiar two things that are happening today such as flat screen televisions and idea that your Friends and family have become just something you see on the phone or through technology. You could also argue the idea that instead of talking to your actual family you could be infatuated with something happening on the TV or on your phone such as social media. Things like paying attention to the screens around you rather than life is very prevalent in the book. Reading books aren't only thing missing in the society of Fahrenheit 451 family connections and human connections are missing as well as connections with nature.
Electronic surveillance has become a big thing as well people may not want to think about it but it is almost the same as in 1984. If you do anything that someone considers suspicious they will see you on a video camera in a store or a video camera on the road or some type of surveillance device in public. Things may not have gone as far as surveillance in the home but now that we think about it people are getting surveillance in their home and eventually if we keep going down this path thinks going to end up like society in
