One form of social commentary the author makes is based on censorship. In Fahrenheit 451, society has banned books for decades. With the controversial nature that are in books across every era, it led the government to ban books, rationalizing this decision so as to never offend anyone. This act hindered the population, by not ever knowing the knowledge that books held. With the lack of cultural and political guidance, post generations grew accustomed to the belief that what the government tells them about books is that they are too dangerous and should be
