A teenage named Chris Willow was seen with Jesse Anderson at Sally’s Pizza where he and Jesse had an altercation and Jesse ended up storming off. Later, Officer Allen, who was following a lead to the pizza place, saw Chris give Alex a packet with crack cocaine. He then presumed to try to arrest the two, but the packet was thrown into the bushes along with Chris’s blue notebook and a key. Later after their eventual arrest all the items were found as well blue rubber bands in Chris’s car identical to the once around the cocaine pack. Previously, Chris had been suspended from high school for smoking marijuana and eventually dropped out. Previous, courts have ruled that if an anyone pushes individuals under the age of 18 into consuming illegal substances or if they are selling illegal drugs of any kind that it is a criminal offence worthy of time in jail.
The jury ruled that Chris was not guilty of his charges based on the inability to prove without a reasonable doubt that he committed the crimes presented. There were too many conflicting statements from witnesses, including Alex declaring that he was not buying drugs. This clashed with Police Officer Allen’s testimony. In addition, there was a lack of clear evidence due to no additional drugs being found with the rubber bands in Chris’s car and the packet being found after the altercation in a known area where drugs were exchanged.
Chris was arrested by the police in front of Sally’s Pizza after police officer Allen thought that he saw Chris selling drugs to his best friend Alex Emery.
