My theme “fame” means well known. I think “fame” means to be well known in a community or area. An example of my theme “fame” is R.Kelly, because he is a famous R & B singer. Another example of fame is Tupac because he is a famous rapper. The theme fame can be found in the song “ Started from the bottom” by Drake, the movie “Notorious”, and the song “Good life” by T-pain and Kanye West. The song “started from the bottom” by Drake is about how he started off from nothing and is now rich and famous. “Nigga I was tryna get it on my own”, “Now I’m on the road, half a million for a show”. These quotes from the first verse of the song tell me he worked hard to get where he is. It tells me how fame changed his life for the better. I believe fame is a theme for this song because it talks about how in the beginning of his life he had to work very hard to become famous. Another reason I would say fame is a theme for this song because in the quote, it talks about how he’s always on the road making money. “Started from the bottom now were here”. To me this means it took a lot for him to get where he is today. He was someone with nothing, and now he’s a millionaire. The quote I chose means that before all the fame, Kanye, would dream about it like normal people. Kanye’s money and fame changed him. The quote supports my theme because Kanye became rich and famous. “ Is the good life better then the life I had, when I thought that I was going to go crazy? Now my grandmamma aint the only girl calling me baby”. T-Pain’s life changed after fame came into the picture. After fame, more women have come into his life.
