When our society talks about “The American Dream” we are talking about, the thought of having an easy job and being rich, having no flaws in our Nation, and a family that loves one another. When talking about “The American Dream” a great job and money comes into the picture. People start to think that you can just get a job and become rich just as easy as being a child. But in the reality of it it's not as easy as it were a dream. “In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had." Great Gatsby (1.1-3). Families are a huge role in today's society with the fact that they help people stay sane. Without a family some can do just as well, but some cannot function to their full potential. Family is huge in “The American Dream” because it's the thought of being able to have someone to have your back when you need it the most.”Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” With a family you are someone who can do a lot and think outside of the box. You can think and help other people in ways that others might not see. Your kindness and affection for people would increase meaning nobody would be hurt if everyone had a family.
“The American Dream” can only be identified as a mental dream. In some cases others could consider one to be in a physical state of perfection, or “The American Dream”. Only to consider the fact that they have mass amounts of wealth and a “good life”.
