In Brave New World, Communism, Capitalism and Fascism are the three political systems in the 1930’s that had the same goal of suppressing the individual. This is so because each of these systems main purpose is gaining assets for the government extracting wealth from the workers. Communism has a purpose of eliminating privately owned property. This suppresses the people because no matter how much people work, they will never be able to call anything theirs. They will have to pay most of the money they make in taxes to the government and problems will continue to grow because of this mistreatment. This plan was set so that the economy favored the government rather than the citizens. Under Fascism, the people were suppressed because the dictator had complete power and forcibly made the people do whatever the dictator wanted in fear of being punished. It is through technology that babies are made, pleasures for entertainment are met, and drugs named “feelies” are created that force people to be happy. Technology changes everything in this new world and has a lot of dangerous side effects.
