The Greeks were very heavy on individuality, democracy, and fate. Your fate was directly related to what your character or how they acted. No matter what your character would lead you to make decisions and choices that led you to whatever your fate was. For instance like a cyclops in the Odyssey the fate that he had was for him to meet Odysseus and have his eye blinded. This happened because he did not follow the laws of Zeus and properly treat them when they came into his home. This was his fate because his character being a cyclops did not rule by the God's rules and only did things if they benefited from them therefore his choices reflected what type of character he was and led him to that fate. At this point in Greek literature it was all
