In the today’s society fathers leave of absence comes off as casual as a chore, compared to previous generations. There are many conjectures as to why; single motherhood rate is growing rapidly now more than ever. Father abandonment happens due to several reasons from divorce to child custody but it happens too often and it begs into question, why? Father abandonment is rising each year and instead of brushing it under the rug it’s time for people to address the issue. Do young children need a father figure growing up?
