My intent is the analysis the rhetorical elements of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s (FDR) first fireside chat on 13 May 1933. The first Fireside Chat was about the banking crisis and the objective was to get the American people's confidence back in the banking system and the government. The reason I chose this for my rhetorical analysis, is the uniqueness and the effect it had on the American people.
