Market research
As a business we are creating a store in the new upcoming Coolalinga shopping centre. To start up our business we were required to find if we had any competitors in our line of business or to see if it was worth starting up. We found out if we had any competitors in this area by looking online for any anime shops in Darwin which came back to only being one other in casuarina. to find if this new shop was worth making was from a survey we conveyed to 15 random people to see what they thought of anime or to find out which was the more popular types of anime.
From the 15 random people our surveys came back with the following information:

(fig 1.1)

(fig 1.2)
Where in figures 1.1 and 1.2 we are given knowledge on the more popular anime and which types things are collected more often.

(fig 1.3)
Figure 1.3 shows that everyone who was surveyed watches anime which means that if we open an anime shop at Coolalinga we should defiantly have good numbers in customers

(fig 1.4) siblings - 8

The question used in the survey “do you have siblings that watch anime?” Is the above chart which is helping us know how many customers we will possibly have in our new store.

(fig 1.5)
The above chart is another survey question which is also helping us know the kind of products the public would like to buy.

We have also found different websites which have a wide variety of shelving and stands for our products and stock to help us advertise and store our products. http://www.hsw.com.au/index.php?subcategory&id_cat=11&id_dept=140 http://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range/storage-cleaning/storage/decorative-storage
