For our leadership project we went to Feed My Starving Children. The experience was amazing and unforgettable. When we volunteered there on October 30th I didn’t really know what to expect, except for the fact that we would be packing food for kids. Once we got there and got started it was so much fun the time flew by. While we were there we learned a lot about how kids are living on street corners just begging for food not for money. They are giving everything to make sure that at least one more kid doesn’t die of hunger. The deliverer isn’t worried about their safety but about if that child will get to eat. When I left FMSC I already wanted to go back the next day and volunteer again. By just giving up a few hours from my day to help others made me feel like I had done something amazing but it was so simple. I plan on telling as many people as possible about this company. As part of our plan we have gone twice this semester and plan to go again a few more times this semester taking more and more people with us. The first time we went we just went as the five us. And the second time we each brought someone else with us. Also we plan on getting more people involved by taking them or asking for just a small donation being that $.22 can feed a starving child one meal. We as a group have a goal to raise at least $100 dollars for Feed My Starving Children. With that we will be able to create an even bigger impact. By doing this as leaders we will be setting the example that giving up time to help those of the less fortunate is something that everyone should want to take part
