The word feminism and women issues has been a controversial topic through many years, as early at the beginning of the 1800’s. It is brought up in economical, social and political disputes to serve as a purpose for women's equality, the same as mens, which also serves as the universal dictionary definition of feminism. Although, within these years there has been changes to how we as a society view women. It use to be strictly understood that a women's role and purpose was to be the stay at home mother, that cleaned and cooked at for the family. She voiced what she thought through her writing, and placing herself in first hand situations to get a glimpse of what men thought of women. Everyone should be able to express how they feel and if worked hard for something be able to be grated it. A woman should be able to have the same rights, they should not be labelled any different from a man is. Having same rights and opportunities, however I would not call myself a feminist, society is brought up this way. Both deserve to have equal rights, capable enough to be independent on my own, however, personally, a man is there to comfort and protect the woman (and/or children). A woman does have the ‘plumbing’ to have children, though she doe not need to. This how we reproduce, to keep a society going; we as women are granted the satisfaction of being able to hold and nourish a human being within us, we as women are the ones who bring life into this world.
