The most appropriate social approach for examining the society the the twenty first century would be group three; Feminist Sociology. The Feminist Sociology group is one of the major contemporary sociological theories, which analyzes the status of women and men in society with the purpose of using that knowledge to better women's lives. Feminist theorists also question the differences between women, including how race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, nationality, and age intersect with gender. This theory is mostly concerned with giving a voice to women and highlighting the various ways women have contributed to society.

As WW1 started on the 28 of July, 1914, men are more in control of woman’s life, and the more patriarchal (mens) were asked to enlist, while the women were marginalized to stayed at home. After all or most of the men were at war, Canada needed more people to help out in the production of war equipment, as result enabling women to work in the industry. Even so, the wages of women were little to nothing and most became volunteers, to make clothing and other household good as a support to their husband and other men at was. When the war end, the men returns back to their labour, and the women were once again, marginalized. This was the point where females started to advocate for change. By the 1920’s a group from Alberta called, “The Famous five”, including Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Nellie McClung, Louise Crummy McKinney and Irene Parlby petitioned in the Person’s case, fight in gender equality between both women and men allowing women to have a say and provide services in the society. With their perseverance the lady’s petition won on October 18, 1929 that gain them the right, enabling them to have access to anything men were.
