They will try to act like their favorite celebrity because they look up to them or someone they see every day. Throughout the year’s song writers have incorporated being self-confident and strong into their songs. Although both are about being confident, Fifth Harmony and Ehrmann explain that concept differently. Fifth Harmony explains being confident has bold and fearless, while Ehrmann says to be confident but stay humble and kind to others in the process of being confident.
Fifth Harmony uses many techniques such as imagery to show that you can replicate the actions of celebrities. “You can dance like Beyoncé/ you can shake like Shakira/So whine like Rihanna/ Go and pose like Madonna.” By using imagery, it shows the reader that they can act like all these celebrities because they are confident, and are icons to everyone, also that the reader can duplicate the celebrity’s actions and attitudes into how they act towards people in their lives to show their fearlessness. Fifth Harmony is very determined to show the reader that they should be strong-minded.
