Canada is a country that strives to provide equal and fair treatment to all with no prejudice regarding gender, race or ethnicity. This may be a well-practiced custom but there is no doubt discrimination still occurs throughout the country on a daily basis- especially gender inequality. The feminist approach explains the subordination between males and females where females are at a disadvantaged out of the two (Kotamraju, 2011, p. 440). Throughout my observations, this was clearly seen at Fillmore’s Bar amongst the strippers and their clients. This strip club was very significant in showing who was in control – the males.
