A Hero’s Journey Joseph Campbell once proposed a three-stage formula called a “Hero’s Journey”. This formula determined the structure of how different stories are written or thought about. The first stage the hero leaves his normal, everyday life and travels off to another world. Next, they go through different stages or tests against evil or opposing forces that try to knock them down and win but the hero usually turns right back around and gains a victory. In the final stage, the hero returns home victorious with a gift for his home front. The “Hero’s Journey” that Campbell thought of follows throughout the movie “Twitches” step by step.
