Have you ever felt like a beat-up car that needed a good maintenance until someone came a long and helped you fix your life and get back up again. If so, then the movie “Finding Graceland” might be the right film for you. This movie is a remarkable film with a powerful meaning, that setting, acting and overall delivery of the message work together to make this film a great spiritual story.
The Movie is introducing the character of Bern (Johnathon Schaech) as a widower who just lost his wife Beatrice (Gretchen Mol) in a car accident, and he seems that he is blaming himself for what happened and can’t get over it. While going on road trip, he meets this hitchhiker who claims to be “Elvis” (Harvey Keitel). The strange passenger seems to have great charms and is soon intertwined with Bern in a journey to Graceland. However, during the trip Elvis is challenging Bern to face life and climb out of his shell.

It’s a journey to Graceland for the August 16th candlelit vigil to celebrate Elvis’s death anniversary. It was a long road quest for finding oneself. As Bern drives the open road in hot summer aimlessly indicates Bern’s empty inner and the hot mess he is in. However, The timing of the movie calls for celebrating and rejoicing the great memories of the loved ones. Although Byron’s wife passed away he can still cherish their vivid past together. It’s a suitable choice of setting as Mark R. Leeper from the Toronto International Film Festival said, “Priscilla Presley is executive producer, though her contribution was mostly after production started.
