“Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” (Sanford Meisner) Everyone was a child before and children all experience a little taste of acting, whether it is playing pretend, dress up, or with their imaginary friends. They behave as themselves, but have colorful imaginations to expand their possibilities and horizons. Not many people continue to go on and play pretend professionally. He was part of a Chorus, which is a “group of performers that memorized all the lines of a play and said them together, at the same time.” (“World’s First Actor Takes the Stage”). To become the first actor he, detached himself from the chorus and instead he said the lines from the chorus all alone and that made him the first actor ever. The International Thespian Society (ITS) still honor his memory by telling stories about him every year during Thespian Festival. He also recognized every time that somebody says the word “Thespian” which is another way to say “Actor”. Ever since Thespis, many different people have become remembered for the contributions they made towards acting.
