The First Amendment was added to the Constitution to establish and protect fundamental rights and liberties.The first amendment states you have the freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, and freedom to petition the government.The freedom of speech, and freedom of religion is the most important.
Freedom of Speech means you have the freedom to say what you want about anything you want. It basically says you should say how you feel and not care what others think. This is an important part of the 1st amendment because if we didn't have this we would all agree on everything. Mainly because no one would be brave enough to speak their mind. It's good to say how you feel because it can help you and others
