Mildred Montag is the foil of Clarisse McClellan. A Foil Character is a character that highlights the characteristics of another character through contrast. Clarisse McClellan is the opposite of Mildred Montag because Clarisse is a Sunny; Bright girl who has a positive influence on Montag and Mildred is a dark; bad woman who has a bad influence on Montag.
