Abstract
Foods that we consume play a major role in our health as well as our lifestyle. Many of us never know how important it is for use to eat healthy and exercise. Sometimes it takes some of us to go thru something traumatic before we realized the important of these things. Eating a well-balanced diet with not only keep you in shape, but it will also help in the prevention of many diseases such as; heart disease, obesity, diabetes and many more. Making yourself knowledgeable of the adequate amount of nutrients that you should be consuming every day is important. Knowing how carbohydrates, protein, and fiber can contribute to your health and

Lipids are used to store energy. There were a few thing that I consumed that contribute to my lipids and that was the Texas toast, McDonald’s Fruit & Walnut Salad, Tuna salad, Vanilla soy milk, bagel, cracker and Wheat pancakes. My fats intake total was 556 kCal which was also in the recommended range. I really wasn’t surprised that I eat the recommended amount of fat. Not eating enough fat can cause many major health issues such as; vitamin deficiencies, low growth, and low energy. “Colon, breast, and prostate cancers have all been correlated with low intakes of essential fatty acids. (Haan, 2011)
Our bodies can’t function at an optimal level without fats. Many of our major organs rely on fats such as the brain. Eating too much fat will cause a build in your arteries which could clog and cause a heart attack. You also could cause yourself to become obese if you eat too many fats. So be sure to always eat fats in moderation because there are needed, but we don’t want to go overboard.
Fiber provides the bulk to any diet and this helps to stimulate regular bowel movements. My fiber was actually 165% which is over the recommended amount. I consumed a total of 41g and I was supposed to only have 25g. My intake of fiber was definitely too high and this is an area that I have to work on. My fruits and veggies were both off the charts for these three days. Neither fruits nor vegetables were areas that I fail
