I think that the Food and Drug Administration does a good job and should be in charge of the labeling process for G.M.O.s, instead of states regulating the labels. The F.D.A. has been overseeing food safety since 1907. It's worked so far, so why change something that's not broken? This is why I support H.R. 1599, the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2015, and ask you to support it as well.

Consistent labeling is important when someone needs to make sure a food doesn't contain an allergen, and consistent labeling is just as important when it comes to G.M.O.s.
