Technology has paved the way for all learning styles and abilities. The article Achieving Teaching and Learning Excellence with Technology, insist “technology assists can benefit all learners whether they are gifted, challenged, or have varying learning styles” (Marcoux, Loertscher, 14). Assistive technology can help teachers practice inclusion in the classroom of all learners, and can make a learner more independent. For example, text to speech software has the abilities to let a person with a visual impairment, or those who are completely blind have the opportunity to listen to recorded text. Teacher’s have assistive technology, also known “student-centric technology that allows customization and provides the ability to tailor learning to individual student needs” (Marcoux, Loertscher, 22). Connecting back to the article Watch Out for the Fool's Gold!: Searching for Internet Treasures for Teachers by professor Clark, she argues the internet has helped teachers “gain invaluable resources to aid, edify, and transform their teaching” (3). Teachers today have access to the endless possibilities, of the internet to help improve a teacher planning, and development of lesion plans. Teachers should not fear the internet, “all teachers should be able to share in the joy, and excitement of discovering the immense wealth that the internet has to offer.”(4) Technology has provided teachers with the access to scholarly articles, academic blogs, pictures, maps, and academic videos. On the other hand, “quality teaching is enhanced only with quality resources”, and teachers will have to be investigators, or treasure hunters in order to improve their teaching with technology (5). Teacher must hunt for quality resources on the
