A key element in Brave New World is fornication. In chapter three the reader can see Fanny chastising Lenina for continuing having the same lover over a period of time. " It's such horribly bad form to go on like this with one man." ( Line 4) Fornication has been dehumanized and devoid of feelings like love, passion, and consideration. Fornication is used more on a primitive level of desire which the DHC has made a system for all to use. In the story it is a stigma to have just one lover, where the people of the future rely on gaining their desires easily, and not be hanged up on feelings that do not bring pleasure. The reproduction rights of men and women are taken away before birth because all humans in the future are artificially created
