Did you know that on any given day their tally's up to be almost 415,000 kids in foster care in the U.S., that is terrible right? In case you don't know this paper will give you a better understanding of the issue. Foster Care is service where families that cannot properly care for their kids can permanently or temporally, place their kids in a home. There is are also other circumstances such as Drugs, Abuse, Neglect. Neglect, or even crime. In an event that a parent chose to abuse or neglect more specifically that would mean the parent avoided the necessity's a child needs to learn and grow. Like the examples of children going to foster care there are actually children with bad home life for example in S.E Hinton's novel the Outsiders that …show more content…
Pony would most likely have a few siblings if he was put in foster care but there is a question would those sibling care for Pony like Soda and Darry do? In this sentence from www.childrenscare.org, "Relationships may never be the same and foster families rarely care". Darry and Sodapop care for Ponyboy but if he is put in foster care what would happen to their relationship? Would it ever be the same? If Pony was placed in foster care he might not ever find the right family and he would likely get swapped from many different families. In the article on www.childrensrights.org one. of the sentences states, " Some will be separated from siblings others will be moved from one sober care placement to another". He may not ever find a permanent foster family but if he stayed with Darry and Soda that would never be a problem. In the book Ponyboy was involved in a murder and because he was worried about getting arrested. If something like this happened while he was in foster care he could get in even more trouble. Pony in the book the Outsiders it says "They put you in some electric chair for killing people" if Pony was to murder anybody and get caught he would probably get put in an electric chair.I Ponyboy did anything bad while he was in foster care he would get into more trouble than if he stayed with his family. There are so many bad things that could happen to Ponyboy if he was put in foster care bad stuff always happens wherever or whenever it is
