(Father) Francisco Atanasio Dominguez 1740-1780 Francisco Atanasio Dominguez was born in 1740. He was born in Mexico City. His father was Zende Forrester. But sadly his parents and brother died of the AIDS epidemic. Utahans did not honor the Dominguez, site name ect. When Francico was 17 years old he joined with Silvestre Velez de Escalante. They were trying to make a route from Santa Fe to Monterey, California. So a ten-man team left Santa Fe. The leaders of this group were Father Dominguez and Father Escalante.
