What is your view on Victor Frankenstein? Some people think that Victor Frankenstein is a terrible person for what he had done or created. Then there are some other people who believe that Victor is a good person for his experiments. Throughout reading the story there are a lot of themes and characteristics that appear in the characters of Frankenstein. There is so much evidence of showing the themes and characteristics of Victor as well as others. Surprisingly, the reason that there is a lot of themes and characters is whether you feel sorrowful toward Victor or enraged at him. I believe the best themes that fit Victor are Isolation, Man Playing God and Pursuit of Knowledge.
The very first theme that starts Victor's desire to create life is Pursuit of Knowledge. Before Victor went off to college he was struck by the ways lightning works. This is also one of the important themes that caused Victor to let the creature on a killing spree and even creating the creature in the first place. Quoted by Victor, “Winter, spring, and summer passed away during my labors; but I did not watch the blossom or the expanding leaves”. Victor had an obsession to create life and it seemed to be his job now. He was isolated by everyone and became very ill. He would not respond to letters and would not visit any or even talk to his best friend that lived in the same area in Ingolstadt. A lot of people believe if Victor was not so isolated or wanted to drag himself away from the world that maybe the experiment would have gone different or would have not happened at all. One incident when Victor had left his wife and then the creature had killed her while he was out looking for her but also could connect to the isolation
