The theme for Franken is revenge and it’s affect on his personality and innocent loved ones. When the creature decided to finally reveal himself to the De Lacey family it didn’t go as planned . He was attacked by Felix and kicked him out of their cottage. The creature's personality seem to change after this incident. He felt abandoned by Victor and the De Lacey’s sand seeked for revenge. As the Creature left the cottage he declared revenge “ my feelings were those of rage and revenge “ ( Shelly 16 ) . Later on , the creature travel to Switzerland and stumbled on a little girl that was being chased by a man . The creature decided to help the little girl. Which is unusual because he wanted to seek revenge. After saving the girl the man shot …show more content…
Also , he wanted him to feel the same way he felt. Moreover , The creature confessed to Victor and wanted him to at least know the truth . He then demanded Victor to create a female companion for him. He agreed , but later on Victor ended up destroying the female creature because he was jumping to conclusions. The creature saw him and says “ I shall be with you on your wedding-night “ ( Shelly 20 ). This proves that no matter what negative incident occurs the creature acts of revenge. His next Victim was Victor's best friends Henry. The creature wanted to attack his creator dearest loved one knowing it can cause him pain. Which in fact did when Victor was in prison he reveals “ I am still alive to feel this misery and horror “ ( Shelly 21 ) . Eventually , the creature ended up killing the person who mean the most to Victor and that is Elizabeth. When Victor saw his wife lying dead he mentions “ Alas ! Life is obstinate and clings closest where it is most hated “ ( Shelly 23 ) . Victor feels abandoned because he’s losing his loved ones around him and he’s the only one still alive.
