The United States have had many different occasions where they had to face a national crisis. The United States’ presidents have tried all that they can to help the country overcome their struggles. But, some of their decision have been told to be unconstitutional and very controversial. The presidents that took these actions were Franklin D. Roosevelt’s executive order to relocate Japanese Americans, and George W. Bush’s signing of the USA Patriot Act.

During the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt, World War II was occurring in Europe. Roosevelt wanted to United States to remain neutral at first. The American people and Roosevelt tried to stay out of this war for as long as they could. They even succeeded to stay out from fighting
