There are many different issues that our society faces today with speech. One of the problems it faces is that people are taking advantage of our rights of freedom of speech. Another problem is that people are using the internet to be disrespectful to others and to be uncivil. Self-monitoring is the best solution to these problems because if people would listen to their conscious, be respectful, and be considerate of other people’s feelings then we wouldn’t have so many problems with speech in our society.
