Fremont was originally it’s own town before the annexation to Seattle in 1891. The Citizens of Fremont refer to Fremont as “The Center of the Universe.” While visiting fremont the community suggests to set your watch back five minutes.
The first people to colonize Fremont were artists creating an creative culture. Fremont has many art installations such as the statue of Lenin, the Troll, the Rocket, and a lot more. Fremont provides a walking guide to their town, which lists all the shops, restaurants, and public attractions.
