How does an immature teenage love turn into 6 people dying. Well, in the book, Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare. That exact thing happens, two teenagers whose families could not hate each other anymore, but drawn together by lust and fate. There deaths uniting the families together. Some have to be pardoned, but some also have to be punished. Who will it be? In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Nurse and Benvolio should be pardoned and Fr. Lawrence should be punished.

The nurse is talking to Juliet about when she was little and all of the things she did as a little kid. “Peace, I have done. God mark thee to his grace, Thou wast the prettiest babe that e’er I nursed. And I might live to see thee married once, I have my wish.” (Shakespeare I.iii. 60) This quote proved that the Nurse cared about Juliet a lot because she basically raised her. The nurses one wish is to watch Juliet get married. Another reason why the Nurse should be pardoned is because she was hysterical when she found Juliet dead. Benvolio did not want fighting and only wanted Romeo happy. He never killed anyone but, he did not really know anything about Juliet. Benvolio also wanted Romeo to get over Rosaline. He didn’t like seeing Romeo upset. “I’m only trying to keep the peace; put back your sword, or use it to help me part these men.”(Shakespeare I.i. 60-65) This quote shows that Benvolio only wanted peace and did not want anyone to get hurt. Let alone die. He only did what was best for Romeo. Another reason why he should be pardoned is because he wanted Romeo to go to the party to get over Rosaline. Romeo was “depressed” while he fawned over Rosaline, but knew he could not be with her. Benvolio wanted to go to the party for Romeo to either tell Rosaline how he felt about her, or to meet someone else and to get over her. Benvolio did not think anything of it, and did not think it would hurt anyone. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Nurse and Benvolio should be pardoned and Fr. Lawrence should be punished. This is important because if some of these people would not have done what they did, then Romeo and Juliet probably would have ended up dead or maybe they would not have even met. The entire book would be changed. This story brought two star crossed lovers together and then tore them apart by death. And, that is how a love story can end up with 6 people
