Frida Kahlo is most commonly recognized for being an iconic Mexican artist. She has made an immense impact on the art world, and has inspired countless of artists around the globe. Frida is commonly recognized for being the late wife of Diego Rivera, another well-known painter. However, she gained a great amount of fame on her own. Her most well known painting is called The Two Fridas, which was sold for $4000 pesos. Frida Kahlo is considered to be one of the most influential artists of all time because of her pain from her childhood, her unique experiences, and her extremely successful career.

In reality, it is safe to say that she never would have become the artist she did, unless the accident had occurred. Her early works include “Self Portrait in a Velvet Dress”, “Time Flies”, and “Frida and Diego Rivera”. Frida met her husband Diego Rivera in 1922 at the National Preparatory School of Mexico City. The two were both artists and immediately became interested in one another. They had a rocky relationship from day one, and the couple broke up on numerous occasions, but they were both very deeply in love with each other and always decided to get back together. Four years later, they got married at the City Hall of Coyoacan. Throughout their marriage, Frida wrote Diego exquisite love letters which later went on to be published. Both of them were infatuated with one another, and despite having an open relationship, they were still the love of each other’s lives. Since Frida and Diego were both extremely successful artists, they both attracted immense crowds. Frida stood out as being incredibly outgoing and attracting people with her looks, while Diego was more known for his impressive murals and bovine
