Frida Kahlo uses a lot of her cultural heritage in her art. This cultural heritage does not just mean where she is from but also her past experiences. She shows these in almost every painting she does. A few examples include painting many things with a Mexican background, adding skeletons to her paintings, and various paintings with her being injured or killed. She shows a Mexican background in many of her paintings because Mexico is where she grew up. Using what she knows makes her paintings that much better. A spectacular example of this is her painting called Along the Borderline Between Mexico and USA. The skeletons are included to represent her near death experience. She has added these skeletons into her artwork since the incident that
