Friederich Nietzsche was a German philosopher who did not agree with the values of his era and attacked many institutions. His first accomplishment was the publication of "The Birth of Tragedy." In the book he expressed his belief that the non rational parts of human nature were just as important to life as the rational parts. He also expressed his belief that heroic life and artistic achievement came from sources beyond reason and logic.
