The article, “Girl Friendship Drama: When It’s Time to Stop Perseverating and Let It Go” by Rachel Simmons, clearly points out the socio-cultural issues of stereotyping, friendship and bullying. According to Rachel Simmons’ in her article, most modern parents are, maybe too permissive to girls to an extent whereby an act of neglect is clear. The girls end up being selfish and self-centered. In another article by Karen Valby, “The Realities of Raising a Kid of a Different Race,” the writers focuses on the issue of child adoption, racism and stereotyping. From my analysis of Simmons’ article, it is evident that racism is an issue that cuts across all societies and people perceive others differently without realizing that virtually all humans have similar capabilities if nurtured. Although Simmons finds it hard to raise a kid of different race, her arguments match the agreement that people of a different race are equally better in all skills. …show more content…

In this article, the writer gives responses about the expectation of different unmarried generation. People usually expect high standards of perfection from their partners until they can’t find the right person to marry. I agree that before reading this articles, I was aware of most of these socio-cultural issues, though not
