In the novel Freak the Mighty, Max and Kevin demonstrated a good friendship. They accepted each other without judgement, and they made each other feel like they belonged. To sum up, friendship is important because, having a friend helps you get through hard times. First of all, many people agree that trust is need in a friendship. For example, Max had to keep Freak and himself safe from the pond and Tony D. They had to trust each other in order for them to get out of that situation. When they went on the adventure where Freak and Max went to get Loretta's purse, it was an adventure that made them like each other more when they were out at night and got the purse from the storm drain. They turned in the purse, and found out that Iggy and Loretta knew Max’s father. Another adventure that they went on was the adventure to the hospital. Max took Freak to the hospital, and that was where Freak was going to get his robot parts. They showed that going on adventures was a good way to make a friendship was basing their adventures on the Medieval Times. In addition to basing their adventures based on the Medieval Times, moreover they also like to call these adventures quests. There adventures were based on King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. They also used a lot of lingo to make the adventures fun. All in all, going on adventures is a good way to make a friendship. Kevin and Max’s friendship was strong because, of the adventures they had together and how they helped each other.
