The first show that I watched was the kid show called “Fuller House”. It is a spin off of the show called Full House that many young adults of today watched when they were younger. (1a) The gender of the main characters was mainly full of women and girls, but with each girl there seemed to be a male or boy paired with them throughout the show that was a secondary character. Almost all of the characters were white besides one man who was playing an “exotic” role and a younger boy who was playing a similar, but much younger role. Everyone played a role that made it seem as though they were just average middle class americans besides one young adult male who played a hippy role who seemed to be broke. (1b) From watching the show I saw that the women got most of the screen time. The male characters were only in the screen when they were talking or consulting a women on a subject and then they were no longer in the screen.

(1a) The main goal of the show is to win over the heart of the Bachelor whose name is Nick. There is a group of women who are the secondary characters who are a mix of races, but the group is dominantly white. (1b) When watching the show you are mostly watching women, but at times you forget because all they talk about is Nick so you don’t even realize when he is gone because his presence is still felt in every scene. (2a) The role that women play in this show is the follower. All they are doing is trying to be or see or get the attention from the one man. They only seem to enjoy gossiping, fighting, and complain about wanting to be wanted. (2b) None of the characters defy gender stereotypes, but if they have an instant when they try to they are shot down almost instantly and go back to being
