Funky Photo Narrative For this photo, I wanted to do something funny that related to Texas Tech. While Texas Tech has many great and beautiful sites, I decided to make my photo about the building I spend most of my time in—Agricultural Education and Communication.

I started by looking on Google at pictures of ‘yellow brick roads’ until I found the one I used, which had all of the pretty yellow, orange and red flowers in it. I saved this photo to my computer, and went to Photoshop to open it up. Once I had the photo open, I had to unlock the photo in the lock panel. After unlocking the photo, I blew it up to where it covered the entire screen. My next step was to find a suitable picture of the building.

I searched Google for this picture as well. Many of the photos cut off half of the building or were angled weird, but when I found this one I knew it was perfect. I saved the photo of the building to my computer, as well, and then went back to Photoshop to open it up too. I unlocked this photo and then used the Quick Selection Tool to select all of the building. After selecting it, I made a copy using ‘Command C,’ went back to the photo of the yellow brick road and pasted the building using ‘Command V.’ I then used the Move Tool to move the building where I wanted it in conjunction with the road, and

I thought having the building was a nice touch, but to really top it off and tie everything together, I needed the entire Ag Comm faculty in the photo. I went to the department’s website and found headshots of everyone who is strictly Ag Comm. I saved all of the photos and opened them up one by one in Photoshop. For each member, I used the Quick Selection Tool, copied the selection and the pasted them in the photo of the road. I positioned every one how I thought it looked well depending on the way everyone was facing, and a few other
