One example of a blatantly subjective film is the 2013 American documentary film, Blackfish, directed by Gabriela Cowpethwaite. The documentary illuminates the story of Tilikum, a captive killer whale that has killed three humans, the cruel measures Seaworld uses against these animals, the high level of intelligence showcased by killer whales, and man’s relationships to nature. On February 24, 2010, Tilikum killed his trainer Dawn Brancheau, which inspired Cowpethwaite to look into the treatment of these animals.
