Gang Violence In Jails

For a number of years, prisons have always maintains a variety of gang violence under control. It has been one of the biggest issues in corrections; keeping gangs from killing each other. Many gangs have actually made up an honor code of living for themselves and those who follow. Many people question why there’s people who separate into groups and hate on each other when they are more alike than they believe they are. Today, for instance, there are five main gangs that roam around the U.S. and maybe even the world. The Aryan Brotherhood, The Klu Klux Klan, The Folks, The Nation of Islam, and MS-13 are the most well known and most dangerous security threat groups that one can affiliate with. They are made up of 300 full members and 5,000 or more associates that go in and out of jail. They are all White Americans who are involved in organized crime entities. For examples, they like to get involved in drug trafficking, extortion, prostitution, and murder for compensation. This gang identifies itself with tattoos that consist of “AB”, “666”, and general Nazi symbols like swastikas. A common one is a swastika over a shamrock. They say that this gang originated in 1964 when some members at a prison had contact with Charles Manson. Their beliefs used to fall under racial lines and even had issues against the Black Guerilla Family. They believe conspiracy, tactics, drug trafficking, prostitutions, and sanctioned murders would make them rise; both in and out of prison, since the racial issues weren’t enough entertainment. They make up 0.1% of prison population but are responsible for 30% of murders in the federal prison system. Some of their rivals consist of the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, Crips, Nuestra Familia, Folk Nation, MS-13, and many more. They affiliate themselves more with the Mexican Mafia and the Irish Mob. This gang continues to rise and even more today with the past presidential election. They rule mostly in their founding state of San Quentin Stand in Texas. They don’t like people who snitch or disrespect their choices. They have a white supremacist ideology. And they are one of the most violent gangs in all America. They kill traders, extort people for money, take women and place them under prostitution and sell and steal
