Gangrene is a potentially life threatening condition that affects the limbs and possible organs and muscles in the human body. At the same time, I can easily describe Gangrenous necrosis as my eighth grade year, along with my actual life. For me, my eighth grade year has been a year of decreasing supplies that led to an ultimate threat to my life. gangrene is a comprehensible analogy to my grades, Capstone group, and overall stress levels.

To start off, my grades are gradually dying with a decreasing supply of motivation. For example, my first quarter grades were this close to Principal’s List, but there was one “A-”. Aspiring to be a medical student, I knew that I should step up my grades, but each quarter took a notch off my belt it seemed. With the almost doubled workload and deadlines, the grades are dying faster than rotting skin from a necrotic limb. With our visits, there were four of us with different symptoms; laziness, procrastination, multitasking, and lack of interest. This was the classic case of eighth grade “senioritis”, but our doctor, Mrs. Weisenbeck, prescribed the perfect dosage of acetaphetamine. A few ideas and encouraging words got us up on our feet so that we could hit the ground running. After our ideas were collected, we presented to the class of Mrs. Allard, whose enthusiasm and interest gave us a boost of adrenaline. In the bustling class, we presented our theme of bio-bags to the children and gave them a presentation that contained all of the research we had conducted along the year. In the class, the kids were captivated by the visual and the surprising facts. Even though we started with doubt, my Capstone group had an overall turn around for the better of everyone’s
