Garvey’s Grill
Garvey’s Grill
Garvey’s Grill is a neighborhood bar and grill located in the heart of Oakville, and has been around for 18 years in the same location. Garvey’s has a bar so you can enjoy a cold beverage while watching a sporting event on one of their big screen televisions, and their walls are clad with autographed sports memorabilia giving it a feel of an authentic sports bar. Growing up, Garvey’s was always “the” place to be if you wanted to watch a game on TV, hang out with friends, or have a good time after playing a soccer or basketball game., They have a dining area and a separate room for private functions.
Garvey’s has your basic “bar food” with a little extra Italian flair. Their menu ranges from wings, to soups and salads, sandwiches and wraps, pizza, and entrees such as strip steak and chicken modiga, while also having a kid’s menu to appeal to families.
To start off your dining experience no matter what you much at least try one of their salads, or even a appetizer, such as, they have bosco sticks, mini tacos, or the onion blossom. All of their appetizers are reasonably priced and worth every penny. The onion blossom, “Garvey’s favorite” onion blossom is cooked until they are at a golden color served with a spicy onion based sauce. Once you taste their onion blossoms, you will get hooked.
And now for the best part, the trashed wings. To get the amazing taste and crunchiness of the wings, they marinate the wings with their “special sauce” fry them, marinate them once again, then fry them one last time. Doing all of those steps make their wings crispy yet delicious, you may choose a sauce of your choice, such as, ranch, bleu cheese, or even hot sauce. Their trashed wings are the reason I wake up in the morning, They also have other sauces you may choose in case you don’t want trashed. They also have garlic parmesan and also the other customer favorite, their hot and spicy wings. Garvey’s are well prepared, juicy, and the “best” in town.
Garvey’s is also known for their excellent thin crust pizza. They have their Garvey’s Deluxe which comes with roast beef, salami, and ham served on cheese garlic bread. I can feel my taste buds tingling just writing about it. Being able to dig my teeth in the three meats,
They also provide catering, which ranges from almost everything from their menu. It provides a select amount of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and trays, and their entrees. Most feed up to 25-30 people, and you can purchase however much you desire.
Like any other Oakville resident I believe that Garvey’s will be around for many years to come with their wings trashed, excellent service, and keep it a family friendly atmosphere. Today, Garvey’s is still a poppin’ place to go even after 18 years.
