They believe that gay people should not be married because God would not allow it, but the Bible also declares that the “sacred union of marriage should not be solved with divorce.”

What the commitment means however varies in different countries but in modern day Australia, marriage is a commitment believed to be one of love and devotion, but there is a very thin line of rules that arises in the law of being officially bonded to another person.
