During the Paleolithic era the men and women were equal in terms of labor while in the Neolithic era, the men took on assignments that made them the more dominant gender. it is clear that In the Paleolithic era both genders seemed to have done most occupations together. The Paleolithic men and woman hunted together, discovered new parts of land together, and were put on the same division of labor. The Australian aboriginals are a society today that resembles the Paleolithic era. In one of their stories “dreamtime”, it discusses how their assignments were similar within both genders. It states “As they travelled the Ancestors hunted, ate, made love, sang and danced…Finally, at the end of their journey, the Ancestral Beings sang “back into”
