The media tends to portray women as the “damsel in distress” or “weak”, “unable to fend for self”. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Today’s women are much farther than the “typical 1950s woman”. The first two images I chose are from a post I actually came across on Facebook the other day, about gender bias/roles. You can see that these photos have women in stereotypical positions, such as in the kitchen, making sure a man’s needs are met and kept before yours, and being that damsel in distress. It then flips to seeing the man in these same stereotypical positions as women. I think it can be noted that a google search for images was stereotypical in itself. It wasn’t until I googled, “Women in Men’s jobs”, that I was able to come across
