The movie “Meeting David Wilson” was an informational film about a man searching into his genealogy and finding troubling details about his past. The Internet Movie Database also referred to as IMDb illustrates this movie is about a 28-year-old African American journalist who meets another David Wilson, the descendant of his family's slave master. This creates an interesting dynamic for both David Wilson’s in a sense that it creates a difficult power struggle that creates tension between these two different walks of life. This can be compare to myself looking on ancestory.com for class and continual finding new clues and ideas on which parts of the world my ancestors came from and giving me something to identify with. An example could include because my great grandfather Tom Monahan is from Ireland, I could identify with being Irish Catholic which would influence my goals and potentially what I do with my life.
